What this site knows about you: very little.

Winter & Elli is published by Little Jam Jar Ltd, which is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (registration ZC283636). Questions about anything here: [email protected].

What we collect

Nothing you type in. There are no accounts and no comment forms, and The Letter is not open for sign-ups yet, so we hold no email addresses. The site has no analytics, no advertising and no tracking pixels, and it sets no cookies. Fonts and our photos load from this site. The one exception is below: product photos from eBay on the gear cards.

Delivering the pages

Pages reach you through Cloudflare, which carries every visit and protects the site from abuse. To do that it handles the technical details of each request, including your IP address, on our behalf. Our own web server keeps standard access logs (the time, the page asked for, the address the request came from and your browser's name) to keep the site running and secure; they are rotated and deleted automatically.

The photos

They are ours. Location and camera details are removed from every photo before it is published.

Product photos from eBay

On the gear pages, the dog and mood pages, a card can show a current eBay listing's price and photo, marked "On eBay". That photo is not stored here: your browser loads it straight from eBay's image server (i.ebayimg.com), and only while the listing was checked within the last six hours. Like any web server, eBay's then sees your IP address, your browser's name and the time of the request. We ask your browser not to tell eBay which page you were on (no referrer). The site still sets no cookies. eBay handles that request under its own privacy notice. If JavaScript is off in your browser, no eBay photo is loaded at all.

Links to Amazon and eBay

When you follow a link to Amazon or eBay you leave this site. Those shops set their own cookies to record the visit and any purchase for their affiliate programmes (Amazon Associates and the eBay Partner Network), under their own privacy notices. Our links carry our affiliate tag and, for eBay, which part of the page the link was on. They never carry anything about you. More on how the links work.

You can ask what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it; write to [email protected]. If you are unhappy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
